Women's TNG jumpsuit questions
Hello there! I had a couple questions regarding the TNG jumpsuit pattern.
1. Is there a cutting layout available?
2. If not, I know you mentioned in your sewing courses that you prefer to cut fabric in single layers- is this how this pattern is set to be cut?
3. Are the seam/hem allowances already included on the pattern?
4. What does it mean when it says to cut self/contrast?

1 – Unfortunately there's no cutting layout, because spandex fabric width varies depending on the source(s) and the layout also changes depending on gender and size. I prefer to “Tetris” my pattern pieces to get the most out of my yardage.
2 – Yes, my TNG jumpsuit (and skant, and upcoming jacket) patterns are intended to be cut as single layers, since nearly all of the pattern pieces are asymmetrical. Some of my future patterns (such as the DS9/VOY/NEM jumpsuits, jackets, trousers, etc.) will be able to be cut through two layers simultaneously if you desire, because the pattern pieces are symmetrical.
3 – Yes, all of my sewing patterns include all seam and hem allowances unless otherwise specified. 🙂
Some patterns (such as the TNG jumpsuits you mentioned) have different allowances in different areas, in which case I mention the specific allowances included along each edge.
4 – In this case, “self” fabric is the black spandex, and “contrast” is the division color.
